Today I will bequeath unto you part two of two! Now in part one I gave you guys the definitions of the story aspects. Today I will be sharing a deeper look within each aspect.
Romantic tension- romantic novels and woman's fiction require a high level. Where as children's books require none.
Sensuality- some romance subcategories accept very little of this and some erotic subcategories require the maximum. Children's fiction and Christian fiction allow non of this. But other categories allow a wide range of this.
Humor- all categories of fiction allow a wide range of this. The is one story aspect that you can decide the range of it.
Spirituality- with most categories of fiction less of this is more desirable then to have more of it. But in Christian fiction it preferably calls for more.
Offensive language- most readers out there accept a wide range of this these days. Of course exempt this from children's books.
Action/ adventure- some categories such as thrillers and some mysteries have a high level of this. But for woman's fiction and romance it is preferred, by some readers, to have less of this.
Violence- this is not really accepted but it is expected in most thrillers and mysteries. However in romance it is not expected or accepted.
Suspense- for thrillers and mysteries this usually has a lot. In romance, children's, and woman's fiction this has very little to none.
-happy writing-
